New hotel building in the heart of Lübeck’s old town on a former townhouse site
The new hotel building was planned close to the historic layout of the city as it was before the destruction of the war in 1943. The hotel is now built around a small inner courtyard, which offers guests an outdoor space to relax in the middle of the city.
Due to the hotel’s use, the facade was differentiated in a restrained manner and window sizes, proportions and axial dimensions are repeated in groups across all parts of the building.
