Destroyed in the second World War – after its reconstruction in 2008, “Quartier V” has 47 barrier-free apartments

The Heinrich-Schütz-Residenz consists of three buildings and is located next to the Dresden market. Two of these buildings were largely rebuilt with a facade that was true to the original one; the southern extension is a modern new building.

In addition to a residence for the elderly, the building includes a restaurant, a wine shop and a SPA area, as well as a multifunctional hall that replaced the former shops on the Neumarkt side. The individual entrances to the former shops gave way in favor of a listed window front.
