Until around 1994, production was still carried out here, but now it is possible to live in high quality: Numerous apartments are currently being built on the site of the former Diamalt factories in Munich-Allach. The “lost place” with the still existing listed factory buildings, such as the Diamalt tower and the boiler house, has been given a new lease of life.
Part of the new residential quarter is also a new turnkey residential complex with 98 rental apartments in four components on 9500 square meters of floor space, including the shell for a daycare center and underground parking. The new high-quality, subsidized housing on the former industrial site provides affordable housing in Munich. In order to meet the increased urban development requirements in terms of sound insulation, double-glazed windows from sebnitzer fensterbau were used.
