Window to the city of Hamburg
Within walking distance of Hamburg’s main train station, a building complex has been created on the site of the so-called Hühnerposten, combining 2 business hotels in one building. A 3 star ibis hotel with 252 rooms and a 1 star ibis budget hotel with 196 rooms. The striking eight-story building follows the building limits at the rear property lines. Since a closed construction was required towards the Amsinckstraße, an open facade grid is erected towards the busy main street. The triangular layout of the site creates an inner courtyard, which serves as a reception area for guests, as well as for deliveries and waste disposal. The location close to the city center is predestined for the two hotels. At the same time, they noticeably enhance the region south of Hamburg’s main train station.
